The Difference Between BB, CC, and DD Creams - Part 1 of 4

If you've been reading and seeing while shopping for cosmetics lately, you are seeing a new group of products referred to as BB, CC, or DD creams, which is a genuine alphabet soup or a lot like shopping for bras. But what do they all (supposedly) do? What’s the difference between them? And most importantly: which should you use? These among other questions, have been brought to me as a skin therapist in my treatment room.

These flesh colored fluids are just another formulation that have joined the tinted moisturizers and standard foundations on the shelves as potential skin-perfecting options. These are new products, all with enticing claims. These creams are supposed to do everything from fading dark spots and healing breakouts to fighting wrinkles, lightening dark circles, and brightening skin tone. Who wouldn't be intrigued with these particulars? Truth be told, there is not a ton of differences between the various skin cream acronyms, but we can have a favorite in each category. These creams really are all a fad, but we are all curious to find out if the claims are true.

Here is a cheat sheet for every multitasking product broken down for you…

TINTED MOISTURIZER:

The name is pretty self-explanatory, but is a products that will give you a bit of color with a moisturizing benefit. The color is usually pretty sheer. Therefore, if you want a little color, but not a lot of coverage, this would be the cream from you.

The one thing I can say about this group of creams, is it will be on the market due to the many fans that are still out there, but there are not any companies that currently do not carry a tinted moisturizer coming out with one. Why? Well, it is because of the new launch and rage of the alphabet creams.

Come back next week for Part 2, where we cover BB Creams and the continued cheat sheet.

While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. Aside from skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women today. Today, when you look around, you will see the unique things people are doing to help promote awareness of this disease and the efforts to find a cure. November is National Inspirational Role Models Month . No matter your age, gender, or stage in file, having someone who inspires you to be the best version of yourself is always a positive thing. Perhaps it is a friend, a celebrity or an activist. Whether the person is high-profile or not isn’t important. Their character and ability to inspire, guide, and teach carries much more value. This month let’s focus on the person who motivates you and thank them for their leadership. I would like you to share who inspires you? I’ve mentioned some of the characteristics of a role model, but let’s go into more detail.
