Rosacea...Typical Skin Care Routine

Now lets establish a healthy skin care routine for those of you who suffer from rosacea. This regimen should include four steps: Gentle Cleansing or Double Cleansing, Serum or Topical Prescription Medication, Moisturizing, and Concealing of more noticeable areas, if necessary. When rosacea flare-ups occur, it is important to use appropriate skin care products and minimize the amout of products being used overall. Clients with rosacea, particularly those with the Erytheatolegangiectactc Subtype, may experience an increase level of sensitivity on their face. This, in turn, causes difficulty tolerating topical cosmetics, various skin care products, and topical medications. Because of the sensitive presentation of this disorder it is important to treat rosacea effectively and gently.

Because the signs and symptoms of rosacea vary from one person to another, treatment must be tailored by a physician for each individual case. Since rosacea is a chronic condition that gets progressively worse, it is important to seek treatment from a physician, as early treatment can stop this disorder from worsening. Individuals experiencing signs and symptoms of rosacea are typically diagnosed based on clinical assessment, including examination of the skin and getting a detailed history from the client. There are many things a person can do to minimize symptoms and help with overall management. The first step in managing rosacea is maintaining a skin diary. It is important to keep detailed log of triggers associated with episodes of flushing because this can aid in a plan for the management of the disorder, as well as associated symptoms. What show you look for? Rosacea can vary substantially from one individual to another, and in most cases, some rather than all of the potential signs and symptoms appear. Rosacea always includes at least one of the follow primary signs, and various secondary signs and symptoms may also develop. Primary Signs Flushing  - Many people with rosacea have a history of frequent blushing or flushing. This facial redness may come and go, and is often the earliest sign of the disorder. Persistent Redness  - Persistent facial redness is the most common individual sign of rosacea, and may resemble a blush or sunburn that does not go away. What is Rosacea? Many people say that they have sensitive skin or have rosacea, especially when their cheeks turn read. What everyone doesn't know, unless they have gone to a doctor, dermatologist, or skin therapist, is what they really have or what is happening with their skin. With that being said, what is rosacea? Rosacea is a chronic and potentially life-disruptive disorder primarily on the facial skin, often characterized by flare-ups and remissions. Many have observed that it typically begins any time after age 30 as a persistent symmetrical flushing and redness on the cheeks, nose, chin, or forehead that may come and go. in some cases, rosacea may also occur on the neck, chest, scalp, or ears.
