November is a month to give thanks and be thankful. Why do you ask? Well, Thanksgiving is in November and it is about 30 days before Christmas. On Thanksgiving we give thanks and is celebrated here in the United States due to 1621 celebration at Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was to celebrate a good harvest from the Pilgrims and Puritans, who emigrated from England, where they celebrated Days of Fasting and Days of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a day that our families all get together, and is the start of celebrations leading up to the New Year, where family and friends all get together. Secondly, November also has Veteran's Day. A day that we should give thanks and honor to those who have served and sacrificed their lives for our country. It is a day when the armistice ended World War I went into effect and regarded as the end of "the war to end all wars" back in 1918.
