New You for a New Year

Time has flown by as we look back on all we have accomplished in the past year, we can't help but wonder what even happened to those New Year's resolutions we made! Some we kept, which others have been forgotten, but it has been a great year nonetheless. What resolutions can we not wait to try?

The Meaning of Christmas

The true meaning of Christmas isn't about Santa Claus, or what gifts you are going to receive. It is all about the Gift of Giving. Sometimes we need to be reminded of just how blessed many of us are, especially this time of year when there are some out there who won't wake up to find that special gift they asked for. We must remember those who are less fortunate than we are. Hundreds of years before Christ, several other festivals were held in different parts of the world. These celebrations seemed to all occur at some point during the winter solstice, the time at which the ear makes its shortest journey around the sun.

Dry Hands and Skin...Tips to Save Them

Your hands and skin are going to need special care this year! It flu and cold season...along with this is the craze of hand sanitizer and cold weather. Those who use a ton of hand sanitizer trying not to get sick, get dry chapped hands. Everyone uses hand sanitizer all the time, they are everywhere in public, at the front desk of spas and many retail stores. My studio is no exception, I have one for myself. I not only wash my hands before every service, but also sanitize them on top of that. My skin is no different than any of yours after doing both of these routines several times a day, they are dry and chapped.

Black Friday Weekend....Cyber Monday

So today is December 6th, a week after Cyber Monday, and only 20 days until Christmas and 9 days until Hanukkah. Have you done all of your shopping? Did you get up early to take advantage of all those Black Friday sales? Or still taking advantage of those deals on the web? They have been happening all weekend and don't end until midnight Monday. Personally, I do all of my shopping for gifts online so that I do not have to go out in the cold and bother with the madness of the malls.
